2D/3D Training Guides for TurboCAD Pro Platinum teaches common 2D and 3D CAD skills necessary to efficiently operate TurboCAD Pro Platinum for Windows OS.  Newly updated for TurboCAD 2017, users learn through easy, step-by-step training sessions with video demonstrations.  Perfect for a classroom or self-study.

Updated for TurboCAD 2017!

These HTML and video training guides teach common 2D and 3D CAD skills through easy to use, step-by-step sessions. It’s designed for anyone wishing to learn TurboCAD Pro Platinum for Windows in a self-paced, structured session format.  This program is also appropriate for students learning CAD for the first time in a classroom setting, whether at school, college, university or any educational institution.

The Easiest Way to Learn Computer-Aided Design with TurboCAD

All key 2D features in TurboCAD are presented in the first program. Following basic introductory sessions are 14 learning sessions. Over 220 videos are spread throughout the 14 sessions to demonstrate the activities being presented.

With both the 2D and 3D guide, each session begins with a task worksheet with specific instructions about the session. All sessions are single session, from start to finish, which means drawings can easily be completed in the recommended timeframe. Projects and practical sessions are also included so you can build your own projects from scratch.

How it’s delivered:

These training guides are browser based (HTML) electronic training sessions that are easy to navigate, link to relevant videos, and allows you to save pages to ‘favorites’. You can even right click to look up terms in Google Dictionary, or use Google Translate to translate phrases or entire pages into your own language.

What’s Included?

  • Introduction and TurboCAD Basics at the beginning of each guide to put you on the fast track for learning TurboCAD
  • 14 training sessions and over 220 task-specific videos in the 2D training guide
  • 15 training sessions and over 250 task-specific videos in the 3D training guide
  • Session summaries for a concise review of progress
  • Rapid Reference Index for quick location of specific topics
  • Google Dictionary & Google Translate support

All key 2D features in TurboCAD are presented in this learning system. Following basic introductory sessions are 14 learning sessions that introduce the following activities:
  • Session 1 – the graphic editor, toolbars and palettes, the Design Director, select tool, entity layers, and brush pattern fill
  • Session 2 – starting a new drawing, grid display features, drawing tools and duplication methods
  • Session 3 – line and circle geometry, the edit node tool, the fillet modification tool, and using the selector shell’s stretch handles
  • Session 4 – the intersection snap mode, tangent lines, parallel lines, and orthogonal & radial dimensioning
  • Session 5 – chamfer, parallel lines, entity dimensioning, model and paper space layout, viewport scale, and viewport borders
  • Session 6 – shrink/extend line, parallel construction, object trim and radius dimensions
  • Session 7 – circle tangent to entities, chamfer with distances of zero, and angular dimensions
  • Session 8 – quadrant snap mode, using points as center marks, radial copy, open window mode and viewport scale
  • Session 9 – mirror, line tangent from arc, split, and extended ortho snap mode features
  • Session 10 – edit reference point, multilines, groups and blocks, rotated ellipse, polyline, polyline arc, and 2D intersect
  • Session 11 – center of extents snap mode, polygon, stretch, offset, inserting a block, and using the pick point hatch method
  • Session 12 – region, inserting a symbol from a library, using the edit content feature to modify a block, and floating model space
  • Session 13 – relocate the origin and instructs on the wall tool, wall split, and convert to wall features
  • Session 14 – introduces many new features and touches on 3D design in TurboCAD
Once you have completed the 2D training guide, move to the 3D training guide for comprehensive solid modeling and rendering instruction. In the 3D guide, over 250 videos are spread throughout 15 sessions.

All key 3D features in TurboCAD are presented in this learning system. Following basic introductory sessions are 15 learning sessions that introduce the following activities:
